Manifesto de l'Artiste
"I am passionate about the major changes of my time linked to fundamental technological and sociological developments, but I remain nonetheless deeply attached to the original or even primitive meaning of Art.
Through my creations I presume to bring your curious gaze to an emotion that challenges us on the human condition, its relationship to space, time and its own mystery.
Each painting aims to be a fleeting capture of sensations and reflections that make each moment in itself a complex, multi-dimensional infinity that escapes chronological reading.
Depth and light are explored through color, combined with materials and fibers that create a vibrant, dynamic vascular system. The execution often verges on mannerism. Ultimately, the canvas and its humble materials become a fragment of another world, its sensuality inviting the viewer to lose themselves within it.
Throughout my work, one will undoubtedly find numerous influences drawn from the history of art, from prehistory to the present day, particularly that of Flemish painting. I use the techniques I learned at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris, adapting them with modern materials. This is undeniably indebted to my fascination with primitive art: the tanned, stretched, and painted hides of Native Americans, the African masks I saw dancing, and the fetish statues I witnessed being activated during a pivotal part of my youth.
spent in the Great Lakes region. This is especially true for my sculptures made from natural materials worn by time, reworked and inlaid with minerals to transcend them, transforming them into something else entirely, something that will captivate us and lead us to other, invisible worlds. But above all, beyond matter and culture, my creation stems from the
"Digestion of a voracious curiosity and a passionate fraternity with humanity."
